Setting up MFA (New Users)

  1. Accept your invite to Finally and set your password

    • Click the invite link from your email

    • Create a secure password when prompted

  2. Choose your MFA method

    • Select one of the following options:
      • SMS (Text Message) – Recommended for most users
      • Authenticator App (e.g., Google Authenticator)

  3. Enter the verification code

    • If you selected SMS, you’ll receive a text message with a 6-digit code

    • If you chose an authenticator app, the app will generate a 6-digit code

  4. Confirm the code to complete setup

    • Once verified, your MFA is fully active

Future Logings

Each time you sign in to Finally, you’ll be asked to enter a 6-digit MFA code based on the method you selected.

Troubleshooting MFA

ISSUE: “I can't find my MFA code”

This usually happens when an authenticator app was selected instead of SMS.

Step 1 - Check Your Authenticator App
Look on your phone for any of these apps and check for a code linked to Finally:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Microsoft Authenticator

  • Authy

  • Duo Mobile

  • 1Password

  • LastPass Authenticator

Step 2 - Check Your Phone's Password Manager
If your MFA code was saved during setup, you may find it here:

  • Apple (iPhone): iCloud Keychain / Passwords

  • Android: Google Password Manager

Look for the Finally login entry and check if it includes a 6-digit code.

Step 3 - Contact Support if You Still Can't Access MFA If you can't find a code and can't log in:

  • Ask your account admin to contact Finally Support

  • Support will reset your MFA so you can set it up again at your next login

Best Practices Recommendations

  • Choose SMS unless your team prefers authenticator apps

  • If using an authenticator app, install it on the same device you use to log in

  • Consider saving your MFA code in your phone’s password manager for easier access
